About Me

My name is Garre (pronounced Gary) and I’m a healer and artist in St, Petersburg, FL. I’m a reiki master, yoga teacher, breathwork guide, life coach and personal trainer. I help people heal all layers of their being and help them tap into their creativity. One of my biggest loves is teaching yoga to teen girls at the juvenile detention centers and behavioral centers in Florida. Teaching kids practices that help them build awareness, self-regulate, and feel safe in their bodies has been very rewarding and it has made me realize how important it is to help our youth. Kids are our future, and it is important to me to teach them to be the highest versions of themselves.

My Story

I was born in Columbus, Ohio. Ever since I can remember, I liked to make art. Art class was always my favorite class in school. By the time I was in high school, I was winning awards for my art and getting really cool opportunities like making art for movies. I moved to Memphis, Tennessee to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in art history. Charcoal drawing has always been my favorite and my senior show was large drawings of night scenes. After college I stopped drawing and making art. About 10 years later I picked it up again, started to remember who I was and am now working on a body of work for a show in 2023. 

After college I got married and moved to St. Pete, Florida where I lived with my husband at the time. After I stopped drawing, the marriage got violent and fell apart. I moved to Columbus and was lost and hurting from trauma for about two years before yoga found me. It was so healing that I did teacher training and became a yoga teacher. This is how my spiritual journey started. It changed my life. I’ve always been hungry for knowledge and continue to learn about trauma and how to help heal others through spiritual practices and art. When I started drawing again, I realized I had been practicing yoga all along. Yoga says we will forget who we are in this life. Practicing yoga will help us remember who we are. I remember who I am when I draw. It was what I was meant to do along with helping other women heal and find their power.

In these sessions we work together to heal trauma, connect to yourself, build the life you want, tap into your creativity, learn yoga philosophy and how it applies to your life, or any other goal you want to work on.
